NEIL YOUNG: I’m Happy That Y’all Came Down [no label, 1CD]
Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA; February 1, 1971. Good to very good audience recording. One of the old classic vinyl boots, via Big O. Epic version of “Sugar Mountain,” of all things. For the Neil nerds out there, he plays a fragment of “You & Me” during the intro to “I Am A Child,” which he’d dust off more than two decades later for Harvest Moon. Good to know.
EDIT: If this isn’t enough 1971 solo Neil for you, So Many Roads has a show recorded up the coast in Berkeley during the same tour. Dig it!
