Ry Cooder - 5/16/74, The Bottom Line, NYC
Annnnnd here’s the companion to that Neil Young show. What a night! It seems as though this is a soundboard recording, whereas Neil’s set is captured by an audience member (who is one of the greatest Americans of all time imo). Makes me think that maybe somewhere in Neil’s archives there’s a pristine soundboard of the bootleg we know and love. Hey, I can dream can’t I?
Speaking of Ry, I recently read his debut collection of short fiction, Los Angeles Stories — highly recommended to fans of LA noir. A very fun read.
