THE SOFT BOYS: Underwater Moonlight — LIVE!
The ongoing series I’ve provisionally titled “Live Versions of Albums I Love” continues! Here’s the Soft Boys’ psychedelic magnum opus, as performed onstage by Robyn Hitchcock, Kimberley Rew, Morris Windsor and Matthew Seligman. Some of the recordings come from the band’s original go-round, but I don’t think they played a few of these songs live until the early 2000s reunion, so a couple are from that period. There’s also a solo Hitchcock track from a few years back. If you dig this album as much as I do, you’ll love this — there’s a lot of that glorious Rew/Hitchcock guitar work that I can’t get enough of. Feed the fish!
Also still available: Soft Boys, Vegetable Men
