The Clifford Brown / Max Roach Quintet - 1955-56
One of the best jazz combos of the 1950s. Infinite Fool has a pair of shows that are worth your time, one featuring the underrated Harold Land on tenor saxophone, the other featuring the rightfully highly rated Sonny Rollins. Of course, Brown himself walks away with it all, especially on the ‘55 rendition of “I Don’t Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You.”
